Frequently Asked Questions

Last updated: 2026-06-26

This page is a working draft

I'll be compiling some more answers to frequently asked questions about me in the future.

Still have questions? Contact me or find me on socials.

The basics

Pronouns?

My pronouns are he/they, but I'm more than welcome to use gender-neutral pronouns instead. See also my gender identity and sexual orientation for a more detailed explanation.

What's your timezone? Where are you from and currently based?

I'm from the Philippines and currently based in Marilao, Bulacan (hometown) and currently studying college under the BSIT course at STI College Meycauayan in Meycauayan City, Bulacan.

My timezone is UTC+8 (Philippine Standard Time), so my working hours outside of school are 5 PM to 1 AM, depending on the day.

Gender identity and expression?

I might be look straight, but in reality I currently hold the questioning label with a chance of either approaching towards the gaydar according to my IDR Labs results, or adopting the aroace flag (alongside the Pride Progress and Disability Pride flag), or both (depending on how my further research on neuroqueering goes as well as how my neurodivergence aligns with my gender identity).

In the meantime, please don't ask how straight am I 1 in the DMs for the love of god. It's none of your business if you're here because I mentioned that a very specific "green and purple fox" 2 is probably bi(sexual) since 2019 based off the archives (they're now deleted, I only have the screenshots for reference) only to clarified that the fox is straight/cisgender in a Instagram comment thread.

Wait, are you autistic (all along)?

The simpliest answer I could give if you don't have time to read the why is IYKYK (if you know, you know).

Can I send you a physical letter or gift?

For privacy reasons, I can't publish my home address for obvious privacy reasons, but I'll reconsider it in the future. If you still want to, options are:

All things free/libre and open-source

Are you an open-source/free software absolutist?

Not necessary as hard as RMS, though I still have to do my own homework on its culture, among other things like self-hosting and defense in depth in terms of security and privacy.

The only problems here why I can't go full in would be the toxicity and sometimes inacessibility of the tech/open-source spaces and the same reason why you still need to use Windows solely at work (bless anyone setting their dev environments in Windows containers or WSL with their IT admin blocking those features for security reasons).

Why haven't you reviewed my merge request or email patch?

I'm so sorry. Life keeps getting in the way of me being a responsive maintainer, especially as neurodivergent getting hit by the burnout bus and experiencing mental health struggles. Your hard work deserves better!

By the way, please don't harass me over DMs like Duo the green owl for not reviewing your patch (although in case of emergency patches like security-related ones, please be respectful since I'm mostly a college student).

Thoughts on Business Source License, Server-Side Public License, and similiar non-OSS licenses?

(This is focused on Elastic, MongoDB, HashiCorp and the like, not dual-licensed software like GitLab.)

We're not talking about copyright assignment clauses in CLAs yet, but while copyright consoliation simplifies maintainers' life when relicensing, the problem here in open-core companies is that contributions are being "milked" by capitalistic forces (pardon the NSFW references) for profit at expense of the community.

As an autistic maintainer myself, I would rather use DCO and ask my contributors if they're willing to relicense their contributions under a different license if proposed or rewrite the entire thing from scratch than having a field day with a lawyer on handling PII when setting up CLAs under a fiscal host.

There's a dedicated Notion page for that

You do you: https://multifandom-hellscapes.notion.site/faq

Are you a furry?

Yes, I am exploring the furry fandom since 2023 and officially chosen the folf hybrid as my fursona species around late 2025 (still cooking on the details).

The Bloody Hell PH

There's a dedicated Leaflet page for that

Coming soon at https://thebloodyhellph.pp.ua/faq later this year.

Do you plan to dig anyone's (digital) grave (mostly their past) to get them cancelled to hell and back?

Wish I could say no thanks on doing a lot of OSINT, but Twitter's (now X) been a hot mess lately and while writing every single internet shitfuckery (not just people getting cancelled) costs more spoons than in school while masking hard. Sure, I may cover some of them, but there's a lot of stuff happening across the interwebs and I can't do the homework alone hence the extended hiatus.

My focus is basically compiling dossiers of people, communities and organizations over at my digital garden, not just to digging graves but to having my own personal digital archive of the interwebs as well as for taking notes.

So if you don't intend to dig anyone's grave, then why are you digging?

Pardon The Owl House spoilers, I may inadvently roleplay as Hunter here.

Here's the clip if you need some context. While it may be edging into suicidal ideation here from the context of autistic trauma (hint: mostly due to Belos manipulating him), it's not intended to be interpreted as such regarding my own mental health or emotions.

Possible reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Better understand internet community health and dynamics as an autistic who often experiences the world as a introvert
  • Documenting what went wrong for archival purposes (as mentioned above) and what to avoid
  • Using these as data points and references for improving community guidelines within Recap Time Squad's technical and community spaces, as well as for my personal user manual

  1. That's a kind advice from Gemini whether am I really cooked mentioning the thing months ago.

  2. If you don't know who's that fox furry I am referring to, it's Verplex (Sedrik Dedman) obviously.
